Why is the Fellowship having a Gala?
The Gala celebrates the transformative impact of The Bronfman Fellowship, and is a critical step towards ensuring that the Fellowship continues to lead the way in Jewish education. As a non-profit organization, the Fellowship depends on the support of donors to fulfill its long-term mission and vision, as encapsulated in our bold new strategic plan. The scope and breadth of our work, coupled with the growing size of our community, necessitate broad fiscal support, not only from our founding funder, but also from engaged donors and supporters.

What are the ways the Fellowship has grown in the past 36 years?
Since our founding as a summer program for American teens in 1987, the Fellowship has grown in programmatic depth to including Amitei Bronfman, a parallel program for Israeli teens beginning in 1998; to today’s model featuring immersive programming for Israelis and North Americans totaling around 85 days over the course of a year and an intergenerational community ranging in age from 17 to 54 years old. Today’s world is very different from that of the early years of the Fellowship, and moving to a Fellowship-Year model has proved essential to creating a deep and lasting impact in Fellows’ lives. We remain committed to continuing to operate as a merit-based, need-blind Fellowship, as this helps us ensure an equitable learning community that is as pluralistic, talented, and economically diverse as possible.

Who is the Gala for?
We invite all members of the Bronfman community (including Fellows, alumni, and their spouses, families, and friends), faculty, and others who want to learn more about the Fellowship and help support the next 36 years and beyond.

What will happen at the Gala?
The Gala will be an exciting, fun-filled night of celebration and reflection, with a program hosted by CNN's Edward-Isaac Dovere '97, and honoring Rabbi Sharon Cohen Anisfeld. The event will also feature a silent auction of one-of-a-kind experiences. Cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and desserts will be served, and guests will have the opportunity to socialize and enjoy the beautiful views from Tribeca 360. There will be many other delightful surprises as part of a memorable Bronfman experience!

What is the dress code?
Cocktail attire is recommended.

Is the event Kosher?
Yes, all dietary laws will be observed.

Where should I stay if I'm coming from out of town?
Please see our list of hotels in the area. We also have a list of Shabbat services.

How can I get involved if I can't make it to the event?
There are many ways to help us celebrate 36 years and ensure the future of the Fellowship. We invite you to make a donation and check out our 36 ways to engage with Bronfman. In addition, the silent auction will be available even for those not attending the Gala -- watch your email for details!
